Keeping the public safe with our fire rated hoarding systems
The Metro Centre Gateshead / BlueWater Centre Dartford / St Davids Centre Cardiff
Isoclad are proud to be considered as expert manufacturers of fire rated retail hoardings. We have recently supplied hoarding systems to The Metro Centre, Gateshead, BlueWater Centre, Dartford, St Davids Centre, Cardiff together with Westfield Centre, London and The Meadowhall in Sheffield.
Several leading contractors use the Isoclad system for both permanent structures or extensions to existing buildings with careful consideration being given to the priority of ensuring the safety of the general public during construction works while offering a pleasant and clean aesthetic.
Isoclad’s Technical Sales Manager, Andy Palmer, was able to offer a solution by supplying a fire rated hoarding panel system that has seen exceptional success on the London Underground.
The first hoarding system to be installed was at the Metro Centre, Gateshead, where Isoclad’s fire and sound rated panel system was installed overnight. The Main Contractor was slightly sceptical that such an achievement could be carried out overnight in a six-hour installation window that entailed:
The Main Contractor was overwhelmed at not only the speed of the installation but also with the finish of the retail hoarding panel system compared to traditional timber studding and plywood sheeting.
They were able to rely heavily on the extensive experience Isoclad has of the hoarding construction sector to provide them with an accurate and up-to-date system.
The Isoclad panel system is the perfect solution for environments where the safety of the general public is essential while the new works are carried out inside retail stores through a combination of structurally secure Firestop 10 panels which come with a two-hour fire rating.
The aesthetic finish of the hoarding system is white dust-free, class-zero spread of flame, steel laminate.
The Isoclad system is compatible with most fire rated doors, louvres, windows and associated ancillaries.
Hoarding systems used on these particular retail hoarding projects ranged between 100m2 and 2400m2 of the Isoclad composite panel system and was installed by an approved installation contracting team.
Following the positive feedback received from the Main Contractor, the Isoclad hoarding panel system has been specified for use on all shopping centres and also fit-for-purpose and specified on all main retail supermarkets.
